I can send email with files fine that are of a smaller size so it is NOT a firewall / antiirus issue. It seems that I am not alone with this type of issue Outlook can send the large attachements = 2MB but Thunderbird cannot. I have tried this on BOTH of my email accounts on different SMTP servers. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator. The server may be unavalable or is refusing SMTP connection.
